Dr. Fred Mullins Award
Sponsored by the BRCA Foundation, the Dr. Fred Mullins Award recognizes non-physician healthcare professionals committed to advancing burn care and recovery.
Dedicated to facilitating community and practitioner education on burn, hand and wound care, BRCA Foundation’s Dr. Fred Mullins Award provides financial aid in the pursuit of burn care-specific education. Recipients of the award are nominated for their focus on the physical and emotional healing of the patient while showing selflessness, humility and compassion.

AWARD CRITERIA
Eligible to non-physician healthcare professionals who have dedicated a minimum of two years to burn service.
Recipients of this award are recognized for sharing their knowledge, expertise and dedication to advancing burn care and recovery.
When submitting a nomination, you must provide examples of how you observed the nominee demonstrating:
- An undiluted passion for care of the burn patient and the improvement of outcomes
- The drive for progress in every aspect of burn care, even in the face of success
- A tireless work ethic, no matter the shift or circumstance
- A determination to ensure the best available care is provided to every patient, every time
AWARD SELECTION
Nominations must be submitted by the published deadline using the nomination application form. The nomination window is open immediately following the annual Joseph M. Still Burn Symposium until December 31, at 11:59 p.m. of the same year.
This award will be presented annually at the Joseph M. Still Burn Symposium. The award is given to one person per year, and previous Dr. Fred Mullins Award recipients are not eligible.
Nominations will be compiled and submitted to the selection committee, designated by the BRCA Foundation.
